An Artist Designed a Pair of Custom "Chi-raq" Air Jordan IVs for Spike Lee

Spike Lee's latest film, Chi-raq, officially hit theaters on Friday and to commemorate the movie, an artist created a special pair of sneakers.

Van Monroe, whose previous work includes the famous "Obama" Nike Air Force 1 and more recently the "He Got Game" Air Jordan XIIIs, has created a pair of "Chi-raq" customs for Spike Lee. Using the Air Jordan IV Retro "Oreo" as his canvas, Monroe executes a custom that ties back perfectly to the movie's poster and further impresses with a handpainted wooden box that replicates said poster which features the film's main character, Lysistrata, played by Teyonah Parris.

This isn't the first time Monroe has created customs for Lee. As we mentioned previously, Monroe painted the "He Got Game" XIIIs which Lee wore during NBA All-Star Weekend in Brooklyn last February.
