Edinson Cavani came off the bench to score the winner as Paris Saint-Germain beat Chelsea 2-1 in the first leg of their last-16 Champions League at Parc des Princes.
An entertaining first half saw Diego Costa go closest to opening the scoring, his header tipped onto the woodwork by Kevin Trapp before Ibrahimovic fired the hosts ahead in the 39th minute.The Sweden international smashed a free kick low against the wall which took a deflection off Mikel to fly past Thibaut Courtois who was committed to diving the other way.
However, Mikel was quick to make amends grabbing the equaliser, and a precious away goal, right on the stroke of half-time, tucking home Costa’s flick from a Willian corner.
PSG piled on the pressure in the second half but Chelsea held firm until the 78th minute when Cavani latched onto an Ibrahimovic past before sliding the ball under Courtois at his near post.
